Peter studied piano teaching  and psychology for musicians at Trinity College of Music in London.  He has  Piano Teacher's Diploma  ATCL  and has been teaching in Newcastle for many years, producing a string of successful teachers and performers.

Winifred Atwell and Peter Wall aged 17

Peter became friends with the world famous pianist Winifred Atwell during her first visit to Australia. Winnie was so impressed with Peters' talent that she would invite him to visit her  at her Sydney residence where she would play for him and help him with his performance., always encouraging  him to Practice Practice Practice. On subsequent visits Winnie always managed to spend some time with Peter even visiting his parents' home in Newcastle . By the time Peter turned 18 he had completed two overseas contracts. Winnie  then persuaded him to travel to England to study at Trinity College. During the years that Peter was a student at Trinity, Winnie would see him regularly in London and often prepared dinner for him. Peter Completed his studies in 1970 married his sweetheart and became father to 7 children. Peter has been a fulltime Piano Teacher in Newcastle ever since, producing a string of successful performers and teachers.

Lessons are tailored for the individual depending on their goals.  Peter is quite at home teaching Classical examination music as well as jazz and just regular pop song playing. Peter has been an integral part of many songwriters' successes and still helps composers and aspiring songwriters.  Performing has always been part of Peters' career and he regularly appears around Newcastle and Sydney.

Piano lessons can be fun and rewarding. Six of Peters pupils have been attending lessons non-stop for over 30 years !
